Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights’ (LCCR’s) Asylum Program provides free asylum legal assistance to qualifying low-income people. The organization screens callers with potential asylum claims and places meritorious cases with pro bono attorneys supervised by LCCR immigration attorneys.

Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights: Glide Memorial "Unconditional Legal Clinic"

The Glide Unconditional Legal Services Clinic provides free legal advice and referrals, with the goal of giving information to anyone in need who walks through the door. The only eligibility requirements are that clients be “low-income” and California residents – clients do not need to be GLIDE clients or Tenderloin residents. The clinic is staffed by Lawyers’ Committee attorneys and pro bono attorneys.

Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights: Legal Services for Entrepreneurs

LSE provides free transactional legal services to low-income individuals who want to start or develop businesses, businesses committed to investing in economically distressed communities, including hiring people with arrest and conviction records, and mom and pop shops located in areas where gentrification is a force for displacement.

Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights: Police Violence Legal Support

If you were injured by California police or another government agency, the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area (LCCRSF) provides free support to pursue personal injury compensation in small claims actions against law enforcement.

LAFLA is a nonprofit law firm that protects and advances the rights of the most underserved—leveling the playing field and ensuring that everyone can have access to the justice system. Services include: Family Law with and without domestic violence, eviction defense, benefits including veteran’s benefits, immigration, consumer issues including student load deffault and for-profit fraud. Does not take cases involving criminal law, police misconduct, attorney misconduct, bankruptcy, car accidents, credit counseling, probate/wills.
