The Tenants Union provides non-legal online information, advocacy, and in-person counseling on housing matters in SF. They act more as a support center for self help than as a legal advocate, and are mostly run by volunteers.

Process

For low income individuals, it is $30 for membership for the year (including counseling) or people can make a donation, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
