The Superior Court of California provides a Small Claims Legal Advisor at no cost. The advisor is available to assist with small claims issues and procedures from filing through enforcement.

For the most effective assistance by telephone, provide your full name, a case number (if any), telephone number, and briefly describe the reason for your call. Calls will be returned on Wednesdays between the hours of 8:00am and 3:30pm. Responses to emails can be expected within 3-4 business days.

In-person office hours are at the Stanislaus County Superior Court, 800 11th Street, Room 220, Modesto, CA 95354:

• Monday and Friday from 8am-12pm and 1pm-4pm
• Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 1pm-4pm
