Legal Services for Children (LSC) primarily handles the following matters on behalf of young people: guardianship, foster care, emancipation, school cases, immigration, and tickets.

Call LSC’s “warmline” on Monday and Thursday, 1:30-4:30pm in English: 415.780.6366 or Spanish: 415.780.6367. You’ll be directed to an intake worker. If you get a voicemail, leave a message with a safe return phone number. For general questions, call 415.863.3762.

Process
If you call and leave a message on the warm line, wait for a call between 3-4 days. If you haven’t heard back by then, you should call again.

Collect key information in advance if possible: case numbers, names of key people, court dates and deadlines, documents related to the issue, and any questions you have.
