Description

Immigration Center for Women and Children (ICWC) provides immigration services, with a focus on U-Visas, VAWA, and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS). After an assessment with ICWC, if a client cannot pay, the client will know if she has a meritorious case, and whether or not it is worthwhile to pursue free services elsewhere.

Ways to Contact

Call 415.861.1449. You can also email IntakeSF@icwclaw.org or ConsultaSF@icwclaw.org, or drop-in to their offices. For clients in immigration court proceedings, they also offer a help desk at 415.728.0420. For more information, click HERE.

Process

All callers will receive a call back within a few days for an initial free phone consultation, during which clients will receive basic information and receive assessment of eligibility and deadlines, if any. The first appointment is then either free or carries a $75 fee.

If ICWC thinks you have a case that they can take, you will receive information about cost (they have a sliding scale), timeline, and other details.

Notes

Collect key information in advance if possible: case numbers, names of key people, court dates and deadlines, documents related to the issue, and any questions you have.
