Process

Must make an appointment for an initial consultation.

Consultations cost money (typically a $40 fee), but you may be able to get the fee waived with a letter from your social service provider (on agency letterhead and stating that you are low-income and cannot afford the fee) and no one will be turned away for an inability to pay.

Notes

Collect key information in advance if possible: case numbers, names of key people, court dates and deadlines, documents related to the issue, and any questions you have. You will likely have to bring documentation for proof of income.
