Process

After you call in, the organization will tell you next steps.

Usually clients are asked to show up in-person to sign up for a workshop. During workshops, clients receive basic information with a small group then have short individual consults. You will likely have to bring some documentation for proof of income.

Workshops cost money (typically a $50 fee), but you may be able to get the fee waived with a letter from your social service provider (on agency letterhead and stating that you are low-income and cannot afford the fee).

Notes

Collect key information in advance if possible: case numbers, names of key people, court dates and deadlines, documents related to the issue, and any questions you have.
