Walk-in assistance is also available in the following Bay Area Legal Aid office locations (call the hotline first for walk-in hours and availability): Alameda County, Contra Costa County, Napa County, San Francisco County, and Santa Clara County.
When you call, you will navigate through the phone system, and either wait on the phone or choose to receive a call back that day. Here are some tips:
- Call from a number that you want to be called back on
- The person seeking help must be present
- Watch your phone from a return call from a 510 area code
Collect key information in advance if possible: case numbers, names of key people, court dates and deadlines, documents related to the issue, and any questions you have.
