Description
The Tenant Advocacy Project (TAP) assists low-income tenants in San Francisco to avoid eviction by negotiating with landlords, rent boards, master tenants and property managers. TAP does NOT assist with eviction lawsuits.
TAP is able to support with: rent disputes, rental assistance (ERAP) advice and help, housing conditions/ repairs, income re-certifications, subsidy terminations, disability accommodations, other disputes with landlords/property managers.

You can also call the voicemail line at 415.989.1616 (callers should be prepared to leave a message with their name, phone number, best times to reach them and a brief description of the non-eviction tenancy-related issue(s) they are dealing with). They may also email TAP at tap@sfbar.org.
Process
A legal advocate will call back to schedule an initial phone intake and connect clients with legal representation. All potential clients must provide proof of income.
