The Self-Help Center offers free help to people who are representing themselves in Court in a variety of legal matters. Trained, knowledgeable staff can help you find and fill out Court forms, answer questions on how you can proceed in your case, help you understand the Court process, and refer you to other resources to save time and reduce frustration.
Ways to Contact
Walk in for a first-come, first-served appointment at 800 11th Street, Room 220, Modesto, California, Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 12:00pm and 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
For assistance by phone, call 209.548.6237 and leave a voicemail. For the most effective assistance, provide your full name, a case number (if any), telephone number, and briefly describe the reason for your call. Calls will be returned on Wednesdays between the hours of 8:00am and 3:30pm.

Even though the wait can be long, there are a mix of attorneys, paralegals, and other court volunteers to help you. Note, they cannot give legal advice.
