May submit a complaint by:

  1. Calling 415.621.2488 for English and Spanish. Open Monday – Friday (10am-12pm) & (1pm-3pm).
  2. Submitting THIS online complaint form
  3. Sending a 1-page letter (due to limited capacity, additional pages will be discarded) to: Civil Liberties Intake Program, ACLU Foundation of Northern California, 39 Drumm Street, San Francisco, CA 94111.

Process

After you call in, the organization will tell you next steps. Typically, they need at least 3–4 weeks, and sometimes much longer, to respond.

Collect key information in advance if possible: case numbers, names of key people, court dates and deadlines, documents related to the issue, and any questions you have.
