Now merged with Legal Services for Prisoners with Children (https://prisonerswithchildren.org), East Bay Family Defenders Project (EBFD) currently offers training, technical assistance and consultation to parents, family members and community-based organizations working to keep families together and prevent the unnecessary and prolonged stay of children in foster care; as well as limited individualized legal advice and representation, with priority to incarcerated and formerly incarcerated parents, to prevent family separation and remove barriers to family reunification.
